The SNGWRTR BAND showcases the talents of Southern California based country singer/songwriter John Byron Tolley. A traditional country songwriter, John's influences include the likes of Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Jr., Gene Watson, Kris Kristofferson, Shel Silverstein, and many classic country artists and songwriters from years past. Just released is the new "Stars & Barrooms" compilation CD, the first installment of the "Sngwrtr Signature Series" released as "John Byron" (songs previously released as "Sngwrtr"). This CD includes twenty southern rock/honky tonk country songs sure to please fans of either genre.
"Conceived in the South" but raised in Southern California, John Byron says his love for country and southern rock stems from his parents who were raised in West Virginia and Virginia, respectively.
